Writing a memorable song lyric.

Ok, I originally said this blog would focus on song writing. As things have developed it seems to have been taken over by memories of some of my favourite sixties musicians but I have not forgotten my plan to write about my own experiences in this area, it's just that I have done it elsewhere.

I have written a Squido lens ( = a single page web-site) on the subject of writing memorable lyrics for a song. I address ways of finding an initial idea and how to structure the lyric for ease of learning and listening and how to add a contrasting section for added interest.

You may want to read this in conjunction with a previous post on the subject of rhyming of lyrics, obviously the two posts go hand-in-hand with each other.

I have also created a "lensography" ( a list of Squidoo lenses) on the subject of songwriting in general. I hope to cover each important element in its own right over the next few months.

Thanks for reading this far, I hope that if you are looking to write your own songs that you find some of this information useful.
