The Shadows - The Legend

I have finally managed to post a squidoo lens ( = a single page website) on The Shadows. I have been putting together a group of lenses to cover the individual members and this is the page which brings them all together.

I write about the early years which included one or two unsuccessful releases, leading up to the formation of the Drifters and then to The Shadows with the release of that pheniomenal version of APACHE, 21 weeks at number 1 in the UK charts and a hit around the world. They also had a number 1 album with their first LP.

The story unfolds as new members come and go and finally the break-up of the group. Reforming and letting go again, Marvin Welch and Farrar. The Eurovision and great new albums, and finally a comfort zone releasing covers albums.
